Description: Plumbing "Iskar" brings water from the "Iskar" dam to WTP "Bistrica" and WTP "Pancherevo". 12 km tunnel sections №1 – №6 are realized and also 1 km pipe connections between them with diameter 2740 mm. There are 4 pieces of control cameras. For the first stage of Sofia water supply, after tunnel № 6 to WWTP "Bistrica" and "Pancherevo" are built pressure pipe systems Ø1800 and Ø1020, 4 km length, which conducted 11 m3/sec.

Project: "Waste water treatment plant for potable water "Bistrica"

Description: WWTP is built on a technological project of the French company "Degramon". The system of treatment is a single stage via rapid sand filters, type "Akvazur - V". WWTP receives fresh water from the "Iskar" dam via 13 km tunnel derivation, having a diameter of profile 2740 mm and 2.5 km steel pipeline Ø1800, which are also built by "Hydrostroy – Sofia" Ltd. For the treatment plant are built all necessary technological reagent stores. It is also built a laboratory building for continuously monitoring the quality of treated water, supplied to the water supply of the city of Sofia, so that it meets the legal requirements for drinking water.
